Mercedes-Benz has released a short video in which Head of Design Gordon Wagener presents the new Concept Style Coupe. The Concept Style Coupe, officially introduced at the recent Beijing auto show, was first seen at the Avant/Garde festival prior to Beijing in an unusual move for the brand. Toyota took the lead with hybrid technology a decade ago, and that’s gone from an expensive punt on new technology to a mainstay of Toyota production, with approaching 15 per cent of Toyotas now sold offering some degree of hybrid technology. Now, Toyota is about to take another expensive punt on new technology, this time with the launch of a hydrogen fuel cell car in Japan, the USA and Europe in 2015. The numbers won’t be huge, but they will be significant.
Heated and cooled seats, a special White Diamond Edition paint job and a new navigation system are among the upgrades for the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. Both heavy-duty and light-duty versions also get the option of a Wi-Fi system, installed by the dealer, and new front-end designs. For 2012, the pickup will have a chrome mesh grille with a chrome surround on LS and LT models, while LTZ grilles will have body-color surrounds.
